The BeachRat Neon Tide Double Dropper Surf Fishing Rig is a 5-foot, hand-tied surf rig built with quality components we trust on the beach ourselves. Designed with two different presentations, it lets you fish two baits—or two different bait combinations—on the same cast.
The upper drop features our signature Neon Tide Float, a white float with eye-catching hot pink, bright orange and neon yellow swirls, paired with a premium Owner 1/0 Mutu Light Circle Hook.
The lower drop is rigged with an Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp Circle Sea 2/0 Hook, wrapped and sealed with orange thread giving you a second presentation without the float.
The entire rig is hand-tied using 20 lb. YO-ZURI Hybrid fluorocarbon/nylon line, combining the qualities of fluorocarbon and nylon in a durable leader material.
Add your favorite bait combination—sand fleas, shrimp, artificial bait strips or whatever is producing that day—clip on your sinker and you're ready to hit the surf.
How to Fish It
Attach your main line to the top swivel, clip your preferred surf sinker onto the bottom snap and bait both hooks.
Try a sand flea or shrimp on one hook and your favorite artificial strip on the other, or experiment with different combinations until you find what they're biting.
The Neon Tide Float adds a bright visual element to your upper presentation while helping distinguish it from the lower bait.
